Caitlin Sturridge is a Senior Research Fellow for the Humanitarian Policy Group at ODI where she specialises in displacement. She is involved in research on social cohesion, conflict, climate and displacement.
Prior to joining ODI, Caitlin was a Senior Research Coordinator with a research consortium led by SOAS, University of London. During this time, she conducted research on a range of migration and displacement issues in the Horn of Africa region, including return and reintegration, private sector engagement, circular refugee returns, the humanitarian-development nexus, refugee-host relations, and refugee participation. Her PhD explores the role of migration and mobility for Kenyan households adapting to environmental and societal pressures. Her research explores rural-urban linkages, the politics of migration and adaptation, and the everyday mobility of many contemporary livelihoods affected by environmental change.
