Donors in a Post-Aid World
Transforming institutions for a new development project
The bilateral donor ecosystem built on concessional aid transferred from North to South is facing a moment of reckoning. In the face of challenges from all directions, there are questions about where global development cooperation is headed and what role the North should play in its next act.
The Donors in a Post-Aid World (DPAW) project brings together ODI research evidence that informs the future roles and functions of bilateral Northern donors.
Our ambition is to inform pathways for the reform and renewal of the donor ecosystem at a time when multipolarity and uncertainty jeopardise unity behind a shared development project.
