In the LomiÈ region, Eastern Cameroon, the implementation of the new national policy concerning the development of community forests is already well underway. The first management agreements have been signed, but their implementation is still at the experimental stage. This paper describes the experience in the field of the SDDL project of the SNV including the difficulties encountered and opportunities for the future.
