<p>Sam&rsquo;s work focuses on the effectiveness of international climate finance, particularly for mitigation and technology related outcomes, as well as on the challenges of planning and financing low-carbon and climate resilient urban development.</p>

Sam is a research officer in ODI’s Climate and Environment Programme. His work focuses on the effectiveness of international climate finance, particularly for mitigation and technology related outcomes, as well as on the challenges of planning and financing low-carbon and climate resilient urban development.

After a BSc in Environmental Science at the University of East Anglia, including a year studying abroad at the University of California, Berkeley, Sam went on to obtain an MSc in Environmental Policy at the University of Oxford (Distinction). He has prior experience working on energy and climate policy at Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano in Quito, Ecuador, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Washington, DC.
