Walt Macnee retired as Vice Chairman of Mastercard Worldwide in 2020. In his role Walt founded the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and the company’s public-private partnership practice. Previously, he was President of Mastercard’s International Markets.

Earlier in his career, Walt served as Executive Vice President of Cards at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and spent 18 years with Toronto Dominion Bank in New York, Houston and Toronto.

Walt currently serves as a Director of the Mastercard Impact Fund, is Chair of RATES.CA, a digital insurance brokerage, and is on the advisory boards of VerifyMy. GotCare and the REACH program at the University of Toronto. He earned his undergraduate degrees at Queen’s University and has an MBA from York University.
