<p>Merylyn has worked across all fields of climate change in a variety of roles and is currently focusing on implementation at a national level.</p>

Merylyn Hedger has over 30 years experience in energy and climate change development issues. She has worked across all fields of climate change issues in a variety of roles, researcher, decision-maker, consultant, advocate and advisor. She has delivered a variety of products, including as Convening Lead Author for the IPCC. She pioneered the development of adaptation policy in the UK and Europe and has undertaken field work and policy research in Bangladesh, India, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, Brazil, Niger and Mongolia. She has degrees from the London School of Economics and Liverpool University and holds a PhD in energy policy from Imperial College, London. In 2002 she was awarded the OBE for services to climate change assessment.
