Lilianne Ploumen

Lilianne Ploumen is MP of the Labour Party (PvdA) in the Netherlands, and served as Chair of PvdA from 2007-2012. From 2012-2017 she was Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation in the Rutte-Asscher government.
Lilianne Ploumen initiated the SheDecides movement in January 2017 in response to the reinstatement of the Mexico City Policy by the Trump administration and brings a wealth of experience in non-profit organisations, having served as Director of Programmes for the development organisation Cordaid and as Director of Mama Cash, a feminist funding organisation. She has served on several boards, including those of the feminist magazine Opzij and Stop Aids Now!
