One year on from the debt relief announcements of the Gleneagles G8 summit, where are we on progress to generate a sustainable sovereign debt burden for low income countries? What progress has been made on making the sovereign debt burdens of middle income countries more manageable? ODI invites you to three public meetings exploring bilateral public debt negotiated through the Paris Club; sovereign private debt whose burden falls most heavily on middle income countries; and multilateral public debt which has been renegotiated through the Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) initiative.
