For this CSW66 NGO parallel event, ODI's Gender and Climate programmes are teaming up with Futuros Indígenas to discuss the linkages between women’s livelihoods, natural resources and gender norms.
Speakers will outline the relationship between rights to bodily autonomy and access to land, focusing on the experiences of women who are facing climate breakdown in indigenous communities. Exploring strategies of resistance, and the gendered challenges they face, we will trace how climate justice can bring gains both for the Earth and indigenous women – particularly as leaders of transformative change.

Para CSW66 este evento bilingüe, organizado por ODI y Futuros Indígenas, explorará los vínculos entre los medios de vida de las mujeres, los recursos naturales y las normas de género.
La conversación abordará la relación entre los derechos a la autonomía corporal y el acceso a la tierra, centrándose en las experiencias de las mujeres que enfrentan la crisis climática en comunidades indígenas. Al explorar las estrategias de resistencia y los desafíos de género que enfrentan, descubriremos cómo la justicia climática puede traer beneficios tanto para la Tierra como para las mujeres indígenas, particularmente como líderes del cambio transformador.
