Carolina will discuss how good practice from Colombia’s fiscal and budget reforms could be translated into lessons for African countries. The discussion will include:
- What factors helped Colombia’s fiscal consolidation and budget reforms succeed?
- Which capabilities of the central finance agencies proved essential?
- Which factors and capabilities are relevant for African countries?
- Are these factors and capabilities being pursued as part of existing reform efforts?
