Description

The new Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell, will outline the Government’s new policy on conflict affected fragile states and how this relates to children at War Child’s inaugural Policy Forum on 30th June.

The Secretary of State will give the keynote address, followed by a panel discussion and Q&Asession with the audience, which will be chaired by Channel Four’sJon Snow.

The discussions will centre on how children are affected by conflict and why children are crucial to international development policy on conflict affected fragile states and the effectiveness of UK aid.

This first War Child Policy Forum, will be held on Wednesday June 30th 2010 from 9am till 10.30am at the offices of Weber Shandwick (Fox Court, 14 Grays Inn Road, WC1X 8WS London.)
