The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) aims to deliver a step shift in public availability and accessibility of information on aid flows, globally. Launched during the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra in September 2008, to date it has 17 signatories and strong interest from partner countries and civil society organisations (CSOs).

A multi-stakeholder Technical Advisory Group (TAG) provides technical advice and guidance to the initiative. Members include key users and providers of aid data and statistics along with experts in using technology for aid effectiveness and the development of standards. The TAG reports directly to the IATI Steering Committee.

There are five workstreams in the TAG. Each will have one or more leaders to oversee the work and involve the wider TAG membership in delivery of the workstream outputs. ODI are to undertake the analysis and research required to establish what information IATI donors will publish.
