The Africa-Europe Mayors' Dialogue
The Africa-Europe Mayors’ Dialogue is a platform of African and European mayors working together to deliver innovative and practical solutions for inclusive growth and sustainable urban development in and between their cities.
Initiated in 2020 by the mayors of Freetown and Milan, today participating cities include Abidjan, Accra, Agadez, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bologna, Bristol, Dakar, Durban, Entebbe, Grenoble, Helsinki, Kampala, Kanifing, Kigali, Lisbon, Mannheim, Maputo, Montpellier, Monrovia, Paris, Tunis and Zürich.

African and European cities: the road to our collective future Opening Roundtable – Pact4Future Conference in Milan
In March, the Pact4Future Forum in Milan commenced with a panel discussion hosted by Università Bocconi and Corriere della Sera, moderated by Marta Foresti. Mayors Giuseppe Sala, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, Elizabeth Sackey, Marvin Rees and Jaume Collboni Cuadrado, highlighted cities’ vital role in global connectivity and the imperative of a collaborative approach that embraces Africa’s role in shaping our shared future.
