Mr. Million Habte is a highly skilled trade policy advisor who currently serves as Coordinator for the AfCFTA National Implementation Committees at the AfCFTA Secretariat. With over 20 years of experience, including 7 years within the African Union system, Mr. Habte has played a pivotal role in the negotiation of the Agreement that established the AfCFTA as well as the phase 1 protocols on goods, services and dispute settlement mechanism.
He possesses extensive knowledge of regional integration and WTO legal and regulatory issues, stemming from his extensive work across diverse regions of the world. Mr. Habte earned a Magna Cum Laude Master's degree in International Law and Economics from the University of Berne's WTI in Switzerland, and an LL.B from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. In addition, he is an alumnus of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
