Portrait of Caitlin Sturridge

Caitlin Sturridge is a Senior Research Fellow for the Humanitarian Policy Group at ODI where she specialises in displacement. She is involved in research on social cohesion in displacement, financing refugee leadership and agency, and climate change, conflict and displacement.

Prior to joining ODI, Caitlin was a Senior Research Coordinator with a research consortium led by SOAS, University of London. During this time, she conducted research on a range of migration and displacement issues in the Horn of Africa region, including durable solutions, climate-induced migration and displacement, private sector engagement and the humanitarian-development nexus. Her PhD explored the role of migration and mobility for Kenyan households adapting to environmental and societal pressures. Her research focused on rural-urban linkages, the politics of migration and adaptation, and the everyday mobility of contemporary livelihoods.
