Bryn is a Research Associate for the Development and Public Finance programme and the Country Programme Manager for BSI Sierra Leone.

Bryn specialises on the politics of the budget process and the interaction between aid and public expenditure systems. He is a former Research Fellow at ODI, and before that Bryn worked for DFID Sierra Leone as a Governance Adviser leading on DFID’s tax reform, aid coordination and decentralisation agenda. Before this, he was an adviser to the Budget Director in the Ministry of Finance in Malawi between 2008 and 2010. Prior to moving to Malawi, he worked on public spending control and public sector efficiency issues in HM Treasury in the UK for several years.
