Avery is a Project Management Officer for ODI’s Politics and Governance team, focusing on managing LEAP among other projects.

Avery joined ODI in March 2020 as an Events Consultant and Research Assitant with the HMI team. Prior to joining ODI, Avery worked at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and at Enveritas, a non-profit Y Combinator start-up verifying coffee sustainability.

She has recently finished a postgraduate degree in Middle East Politics from SOAS University of London, with a dissertation focusing on political theology and transnational identities in the Shi’a of Iraq and Iran, and holds an undergraduate degree in Global Affairs: International Security from Yale University
