A collection of papers summarising our assessments of the principal issues of the WTO round, how the outcome might affect poverty, the progress of the negotiations, and the impact on four very different countries. This is the first paper in this series, focusing on the linkages between trade and poverty reduction. It looks at a conceptual framework for analysing trade-poverty linkages and suggests how the Doha Development round could help efforts to achieve the Millennium Development goals.
