What is the emerging pattern of exports to the developing countries (LDCs) by the member countries of the European Community (EEC) over the last two decades? How has it been influenced by government intervention transfers and institutional arrangements? What is the magnitude of LDC’s import requirements over the medium term and their likely economic impact on the Community? These are some of the major questions addressed in this Working Paper which draws heavily on country and sector-specific findings of recent research aimed at bringing out the expected results of mutual accommodation and closer economic cooperation between the EEC and developing countries.
