This study, focused on Tanzania, constitutes one of a series on the practice of results-orientation in public expenditure management in developing countries. The purposes of the studies are (i) to deepen understanding of the current use of resultsoriented frameworks in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of public expenditure in low income developing countries and (ii) to establish priorities for extending, deepening and tightening current practices.
