A 25 page desk study report of a six month project to help FAO develop a proposal for a strategic programme for information in support of sustainable livelihoods through relevant policies, institutions and processes. The preparatory project included discussions with staff in DFID and FAO, a desk study of relevant literature and web sites and field trips to India, Uganda and Ghana.
