ODI's Annual Report 2009 shows where and how ODI made a difference in 2008-2009. It opens with an overview from Alison Evans, who became ODI Director in 2009, setting out her vision of ODI as a think tank with a difference.
It includes eight Stories of Change, spanning a wide range of our work: from policy work at the highest level around the global financial crisis, to laying out the real issues around post-conflict reintegration.
Programme highlights include research that put hard cash in the hands of villagers in Zimbabwe, re-shaped ideas around pro-poor tourism, and mapped out the growing dangers facing aid workers.
The report also lays out the work of ODI Fellows around the world, working for developing country governments.
