​There have been a number of discussions and consultations on the ‘localisation’ of the Post-2015 agenda. As implied by the very concept of ‘localising’, what it means will ultimately depend on the context and the specific characteristics of countries’ decentralisation systems. This note discusses different possible meanings of this term and their practical implications for how local governments could use a new set of development goals.
