This special issue contains a selection of the best papers presented at a unique forum organised by WFP and the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University that was held in Khartoum, Sudan, in June 2006. The forum brought together a broad range of opinion and expertise on the use of food aid and the potential roles and activities of WFP in Sudan.
