<p>Sonia has a background in international business management and international development. She has been a programme manager at ODI since 2007. She is currenly programme manager of the Secure Livelihoods Research Consortium (SLRC). She previously held the role of programme manager of the Africa, Power and Politics Programme (APPP) for its entire duration (2007-2012). Prior joining ODI, she worked as a programme manager for Action Against Hunger including long posting to Liberia, DRC, Burundi and Lao PRD.</p>

Prior this role, ​she successfully managed the administration of the Africa Power and Politics Programme (APPP) for five years. Before joining ODI, she was a field programme manager and managed development and emergency projects in Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and LAOS-PDR focusing on post-crisis livelihood recovery including malnutrition, food security, water and sanitation, HIV prevention and rapid emergency response with the International NGO Action Against Hunger for five years.
