Sejal Patel

Sejal is a Research Officer working in the Climate and Energy Programme at ODI, with focus on environmental policy, international climate finance, and green growth.

Sejal holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Geography from University College London (UCL), and a Masters in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics (LSE). Her masters’ thesis undertook quantitative policy analysis of a behavioural incentive scheme intended to reduce household water consumption in Brazil.

Sejal has experience working in local government, finance, and environmental research, with the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the Financial Times, APAX Partners, Arkay & Arkay Chartered Accountants (India), Forum for the Future, and Environment Assured (China). Her research interests include environmental policy, international climate finance, green growth, and the transition to low-carbon development pathways.
