Sara's main areas of research are cash transfer programming, resilience, drought risk management in the Horn of Africa, humanitarian response in urban areas and displacement.

Sara is a Research Associate based in Spain and holds a MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics. She has more than nine years’ experience in conducting research in humanitarian policy and practice including leading evaluations, studies, authoring concept and working papers, policy briefs, and providing policy advice to donors, NGOs, and UN agencies.
