Paul Smoke's interests include public sector reform, public finance, decentralisation, governance and the role of aid. He works globally but focuses on East Africa and SE Asia. He is currently Professor of Public Finance and Planning and Director of International Programs at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
