Paddy Carter was a Research Fellow at ODI in London. He specialised in aid allocation, domestic revenue mobilisation, and development finance more generally.
Before joining ODI, Paddy was a British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Bristol, where he also did his PhD. Both his doctoral thesis and research under the BA fellowship was focussed on optimal dynamic aid allocation, and has produced a number of papers published in leading economic journals. Before entering academia, Paddy spent a decade working as an equities analyst at a London-based stockbroker and a journalist for Investors Chronicle, Financial Times Business.
