Olha is a Senior Research Officer in ODI's DPF programme. Her current work centres on education financing and political economy of education in conflict-affected and fragile contexts, including Syria, South Sudan, Nigeria, Lebanon, Jordan and Bangladesh.
Previously, Olha managed large mixed-methods policy evaluations on behalf of the UK government agencies (DWP and DCMS) specialising in skills training, education and food programmes targeted at vulnerable and disadvantaged youth. As part of her post-doctoral work, Olha researched early years interventions for families with complex needs and child poverty policy reform.
Olha holds and PhD and a MSc in Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Industrial and Labour Relations from Cornell University. Her doctoral work focused on the lived experiences of socio-economic insecurities and risks in Ukraine.
