Marie-Agnes is a Development and Trade Economist as well as Agronomist.Marie-Agnes
Jouanjean is a Development and Trade Economist as well as Agronomist. Her
specific areas of expertise are agriculture and rural development economics and
policy with a specific analytical focus on trade and development. She has most
recently worked on food standards, Non-Tariff Barriers and Aid for Trade in
agriculture. She also has expertise on value chain analysis, agricultural
systems, rural livelihoods, food security and poverty dynamics. She led
country case studies in Guatemala and Madagascar in which she implemented
exporters and household surveys. She holds a PhD in International
Economics, GEM at Sciences Po, Paris and worked in collaboration with KULeuven,
LICOS. She holds a combination of experiences both at an academic level and at
an operational level working for International Organizations (European
Commission, World Bank, OECD, UNIDO), Think Tanks and NGOs.
