Manisha is a Research Associate in ODI’s Global Risks and Resilience programme working on climate finance and risk-informed climate action for fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings.

An economist with over 20 years of experience working across Africa, Asia and Latin America, Manisha brings strong expertise in policy advisory, and designing and delivering successful results-based development programmes with focus on climate change, cities and renewable energy. She is also a trainer and lecturer and has written extensively on themes around her work.

In the past, Manisha has worked for C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group in the UK, WWF in South Africa, and The Energy and Resources Institute in India, amongst others. A member of the ESG Advisory Council of the Centre for Financial Studies at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai, Manisha was previously advisor to the Coalition for Urban Transitions, WWF Regional Office for Africa, and Scottish Cities Alliance, and served on the Net Zero Leadership Board of Aberdeen City Council. In her spare time, she builds jigsaw puzzles.
