Karen is an independent researcher and policy analyst with experience across the international humanitarian, development and human rights sectors.
Karen previously led British Red Cross’ international policy work on migration and displacement, has worked as a researcher for the Humanitarian Policy Group at ODI and has worked in various capacities with civil society along the Thai-Myanmar border.
Her work primarily focuses on migration and displacement, with recent work including public attitudes and narratives towards refugees and migrants in Africa and Europe, as well as a focus on global policy frameworks surrounding mobility.
