Jesse Griffiths

Former Director of Programme (Development and Public Finance)

Portrait of Jesse Griffiths

Jesse is a specialist in development finance and the international development finance architecture. He has done work for a range of national governments, international organisations, non–governmental organisations and think–tanks, and has published widely on these topics.

Jesse heads ODI’s work on development finance, and the strategies of international development agencies.

Previously, Jesse was Director of the European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad), Coordinator of the Bretton Woods Project, and worked for the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development. He headed ActionAid UK’s aid and development finance policy group, and worked for various other non–governmental organisations and elsewhere, on both development finance and international environmental policy.
