Jan Kellett is a Senior Research Advisor with the Climate and Environment Programme, ODI. His work experience and interests include risk, resilience and preparedness, aid financing, communications in crisis, transition and fragility. He has presented widely on these subjects to a diverse group of stakeholders, from country level briefings through to the UN General Assembly.


Before ODI Jan was the programme leader of Global Humanitarian Assistance at development initiatives, which during his tenure become one of the most accessible and used aid resources.

Prior to this Jan worked mostly for the United Nations in a variety of post-conflict and post-disaster situations, firstly for UNDP, implementing programmes, as cluster manager responsible for multi-agency delivery and more recently as advisor to Resident Coordinators. His country experience includes the Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Namibia, Macedonia, and Serbia. ​
