Georgia is an independent expert and former Department for International Development advisor specialising in gender & inclusion, governance and justice, and monitoring & evaluation. Her experience spans policy development, programme design, implementation and review, and qualitative research – across East Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. Recent research with ODI’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion team has focused on adolescent girls, gender norm change, women and girl’s economic empowerment, migration and trafficking, and sexual and reproductive health. In her other work, Georgia either evaluates and/or supports the implementation of a range of UK government programming. Earlier in her career, she led the implementation of the Department for International Development’s rule of law policy and advised senior UK officials and ministers as Private Secretary to the Cabinet Office’s Permanent Secretary.
