Claire is a Senior Research Fellow for ODI Europe. She coordinates ODI Europe’s research portfolio and contributes to public affairs work in key areas such as: public attitudes and political narratives in relation to migration, labour mobility and human mobility in urban settings. Claire has led the development of ODI’s extensive research portfolio on public attitudes and narratives around refugees and other migrants across 11 European countries and coordinates ODI-Europe’s policy work around migration and asylum in Europe. She has previously conducted research looking at migration and the adult social care sector and is expanding ODI Europe’s labour mobility portfolio to look at how migrant workers could contribute to the green transition in Europe. She also works on the Mayors’ Dialogue platform coordinating research and technical exchange with 20 cities across Europe and Africa who are working collaboratively to address challenges related to human mobility and cities.

Prior to joining ODI, Claire worked as a policy researcher and advisor, consulting for institutions such as UNICEF, Oxfam and Save the Children on a wide range of social and economic policy issues. She has over 25 years of experience working in international development, with a particular focus on inequality and fiscal policies in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. Claire holds a masters degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree in European Law and French from the University of Exeter.
