Aarti Krishnan

Portrait of Aarti Krishnan

Aarti is an economist, working at the nexus between environmental, trade and development economics. Her areas of expertise include value chain analysis, green industrial policy, innovation and knowledge systems, digitalisation and regional development. She was previously a senior research officer at ODI.

Aarti has worked as a commodity derivate market analyst, before joining the University of Manchester as a research associate on value chains and sustainable development. She has worked across a range of countries in Asia and Africa, as well a breadth of sectors including agriculture, light manufacturing and natural resources.

She holds a PhD in Development Studies and Masters in Environmental Economics from the University of Manchester, and BBA (finance) from Delhi University.
