The latest edition of Development Drums comes from London, where the UK Government hosted a poverty summit last week to discuss the future of development policy. Minouche Shafik, the Permanent Secretary at the UK Department for International Development, talks on Development Drums about the UK Government’s plans to publish a White Paper on development policy.  Simon Maxwell (Overseas Development Institute) and Nancy Birdsall (Center for Global Development) talk about the impact of the current crisis on developing countries, how the donor community should react, and their ideas on how approaches to development might evolve in future.
