The Planet Earth Institute is committed to empowering and strengthening the Global South, primarily through building the capacity and resources for science in emerging nations. Our scientific offices in Rio and New Delhi are currently being used to feed our first flagship project, a new university for sustainable sciences in Luanda, Angola. Developed with partners at the University of Newcastle, UNESCO and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, this project is the first step in delivering our vision to help build a scientifically independent Africa within one generation.
