This workshop was organised by the African Economic Research Consortium, Water and Sanitation Program - Africa, ODI, WaterAid and the World Bank Institute and was sponsored by DFID, BADC and the World Bank and World Bank Institute. There were over 100 participants from 12 sub-Saharan Africa countries including senior government officials from the water and sanitation sector, country PRSP units, and ministries of finance and planning; representatives of a number of civil society organisations; and donor community representatives, primarily those based in field locations.

The workshop presented the findings of the Watsan and PRSPs prelimenary phase - Integrating Watsan activities within PRSP development and implementation project.
