Description

We are now a year into the new and ambitious Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Early action is crucial for the successful achievement of the targets, which range from combating climate change to ending child marriage – while leaving no one behind.

Scotland was one of the first nations to champion the SDGs, and this commitment has just been re-affirmed in the Scottish Government’s Programme for Scotland. As focus now turns to delivery of the goals, what role can Scotland play, at home and overseas, to ensure that the ambitions are matched by results?

More specifically, how can Scotland lead on its core objective, eradicating global poverty and inequality? How might the impending Brexit affect Scotland’s role in the world? And what opportunities are there for the Scottish leadership to influence this critical global agenda?

You do not need to register to attend this event – anyone at the SNP Annual National Conference is welcome to join this discussion. If you have any questions, please contact Hanna Nomm on [email protected]
