Without awareness of the ways in which resilience is presented and will be acted upon through various international frameworks, like the Sendai Framework, there is a risk of not achieving the full potential offered by the new international policy environment. In order to aaccelerate implementation, coherence and collaboration is required.
This Africa Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (AFRP) side event explores how resilience features in the 2015-2030 global agenda, and makes recommendations to national governments for practical action. Panelists are tasked to assess the necessary next steps to inform the design and delivery of implementation and monitoring frameworks at the international and national level.
The event is organised by ODI in collaboration with Building Resilience to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED). All AFRP registered attendees are welcome. Please confirm your interest in attending this side event by emailing: [email protected]
