This was a side event to the high level ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs Segment. Long running crises in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Palestine, Somalia, Iraq and the curent emergency response in Syria all require the need to rethink urban response strategies and apply lessons learnt. This side-event sought to draw lessons from current and recent urban conflict contexts. Simone Haysom spoke at this event.
