Description

Greater efforts are needed to link up horizontally across the post 2015 international frameworks, as well as vertically from international to national and subnational levels, in the fielf of resilience and disaster risk reduction.

With this in mind, ODI, Action on Climate Today (ACT) and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) are hosting a closed Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) side event involving a panel debate dedicated to Building Resilience across Scales. Panellists from research and practice share experiences on how to deliver the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction sub-nationally. They discuss linking the Sendai Framework with other international agreements on climate change, humanitarian support and sustainable development. The panel is followed by a networking reception of resilience practitioners to develop personal and institutional linkages.

The event is ‘invitation only’ and registration is required to attend. Please confirm your interest in attending this event by emailing: [email protected]
