Scoping exercise for future DFID support to the Colombian poverty and inequality strategy
In line with the objectives of the Latin America Poverty Reduction and Aid Effectiveness Programme, this study aimed firstly to identify activities for DFID follow up support to the implementation of the Poverty Reduction and Inequality Strategy. Secondly, to propose mechanisms and instruments for the channelling of DFID funds either through the Government of Colombia or other multilateral or bilateral donors and thirdly to propose options and mechanisms for ways in which lessons from Colombia could potentially influence other operational development strategy processes in both HIPC and non-HIPC Middle Income Countries. This was a scoping exercise informed by a review of the Poverty Reduction and Inequality Strategy documentation and consultation with relevant donors and interested parties.
