Rigorous review of non-state actors in education
ODI has been working closely with the Department for International Development (DFID) to review the provision of non-state primary and secondary education in the global south.
The first review focused on private schools, defined as those schools that are managed and owned independently of the state and are dependent on user fees. The second review focused on service-oriented non-state schools, including voluntary or charitable organisations, such as NGOs, community schools and religious schools.
