ODI-TradeMark East Africa partnership
TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is one of the largest Aid for Trade organisations worldwide. It works to reduce barriers to trade and increase business competitiveness in the East Africa region to contribute to economic growth, reduce poverty and increase prosperity for all. Active since 2010, the not-for-profit has worked alongside governments, the private sector and civil society actors to record impressive results in terms of reduction of trade times and costs along key corridors in the East African Community (EAC).
TMEA and ODI have established a partnership to build a collaborative approach to facilitating trade and development in Africa.
The partnership will seek to:
- deepen the understanding of the work conducted by TMEA under its first strategy
- assess the direct and indirect progress on poverty reduction of TMEA’s trade facilitation work
- foster dialogue between stakeholders on topics of trade facilitation and inclusive growth.
