Access to the latest development related trends is key for thinking strategically. The Overseas Development Institute prepared the 2004 update of the 'ODI source book on development-related trends' for the UK Department of International Development. There is now demand for a new update. Of particular interest for this update (alongside the normal topics) will be expected trends in relation to issues such as environmental stress and the humanitarian consequences this might have, food security, poverty, health, governance, trade and finance, aid and technology.
