NONIE Expansion to Scoping Study: impact evaluation production and use
Expansion to the scoping study 'Improving Impact Evaluation Coordination and Impact' which was set out to make recommendations to the DFID Evaluation Department and the Network of Networks in Impact Evaluation (NONIE) about how to strengthen the coordination, coverage, quality, and usage of impact evaluation (IE) initiatives. While it aimed to provide an overview of issues in the commissioning, implementation, uptake and influence of impact evaluations, it was undertaken under tight time constraints and made no claims to being exhaustive in scope. This study aims to answer a number of broader questions which emerged from the targeted study that are important to address in order to understand better what facilitates more coherent use, uptake and influence of impact evaluations, and as part of an investigation into the influence of evaluations in general.
